About Simone
Simone Grewal is an award-winning broadcaster, keynote speaker, communications strategist, executive presence coach, and emcee with more than 20 years of experience across television, radio, digital media, and live events.
A trailblazer in Canadian broadcasting, Simone made history as the first broadcaster of Punjabi and South Asian heritage to become Program Director of a major-market PPM-rated FM radio station in Canada, and the first Punjabi woman to host a solo show in a top-rated daytime slot on a major-market FM music station in Vancouver. She also became the first South Asian Vice President of the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters, helping shape the future of the industry while championing greater diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Throughout her media career, Simone held senior programming and content leadership roles, building audience-driven brands rooted in authenticity, culture, and connection. Her work has spanned syndicated radio, national television, podcasting, and live events, earning recognition for creative excellence, strategic leadership, and audience growth. She previously created and hosted the award-winning podcast Relaxing Reads, celebrating Canadian authors and amplifying diverse voices through storytelling.
Today, Simone helps individuals, leaders, and organizations own their voice, command the room, and communicate with confidence. Through keynote speaking, coaching, workshops, facilitation, and emceeing, she empowers people to elevate their presence, strengthen their communication, and create lasting impact.
A passionate community leader, Simone has helped raise millions of dollars for charities supporting children, health care, seniors, and local communities. She has served in leadership and advisory roles with the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters, BC Children's Hospital's South Asian Division, BCIT's Radio Arts & Entertainment Program, and Kin Village's It Takes a Village campaign. She continues to support community initiatives through the Delta Firefighters Snack Program and the Delta Hospital Foundation, and is proud to support the Surrey Hospitals Foundation, helping advance health care in the region through community fundraising initiatives.
